Making all of these in depth and researched videos is time consuming and racks up all sorts of costs, from small things like travel and parking, through to expensive stuff like gear replacement and upgrades. Youtube itself doesn't even give you the option to get paid for this work until you reach several milestones, and even then the pay is not very good for someone with such a niche channel as this! Some of my audience like to help support me through donations, and that's certainly the best way to help out. There are two main ways you can donate;

Patreon is a website that allows you to become a patron and donate a set amount every month, you select how much from the list of Tiers - it can be anywhere from $1 a month up to $100 if you have lots of money and really, really like watching local history videos! The money is charged to your account on the 1st of each month, and you can always cancel your subscription any time.

GoFundMe is a place where you can make a one-off payment if that's easier or better for you. The current campaign is set to buy a good quality drone for the channel, and when that's complete I will update it with a new goal! You can quite literally donate whatever you want to on GoFundMe and it is paid for there and then.
